Callie is a Ten-Gallon Gal with a Texas sized personality to match! This girl is more than "big boned," she's a great candidate for the Biggest Loser! Callie will be put on a strict low-fat diet and given lots of exercise to take off her pounds sensibly! She loves to be petted, but you won't have to worry about her jumping on you or your furniture 'cause she just can't get there from her low-slung position.

Foster Update: Callie’s heart is as large as she is. She’s a great gal with so much love to give. We attempt to tell the good, bad, and ugly on each dog so adopters can make an informed decision. There really isn’t any bad or ugly with this big, pretty girl. She plays well with others, can be trusted to roam free in the house, is housebroken, loves her walks, loves to sun herself in the backyard, and likes to play with toys. She needs her own BIG (until she loses some weight) bed to cuddle in. Another dog would be great for Callie as long as they play with her some. Since Callie is mild-natured and not demanding, it’s easy to forget she’s around; her family needs to consciously make time for her. She thrives on love and has plenty to give back. As with many Bassets, having a stay-at-home parent would be great, but not a requirement since she doesn’t have any bad habits to overcome.

If you want a loving, mild-natured Basset, you must meet Callie!
