Bassets in Area Shelters
We are an all-volunteer non-profit organization that runs strictly on volunteer work and donations. Our goal is to help place as many homeless basset hounds as possible. Due to our very limited number of foster homes, sometimes we are unable to pull a dog from an area shelter. We are listing those dogs here in an effort to find more Bassets loving homes.
We have posted all the information available to us below. Please contact the shelter for more information.

10 year old tri-colored male Basset hound in Wills Point, Texas(1 hour East of Dallas) ... Looking for love and
an indoor home to call his very own. Not neutered and Heartworm (+) but my vet said that he will treat him for FREE OF CHARGE. A man brought him into the clinic to have him put down....my vet could not bring himself to put him down.
Instead. he called me to see if I could find him a loving home. I have seen this sweetie pie in the clinic several times.....HE is a HOOT! He is a bit shy around people, but he likes to talk. He is just precious. Thursday night he went home with one of the office staff...just for a reprieve from boarding. I got nothing but good reports about him the next day. She said that he fell a sleep with her daughter in the recliner. He is really sweet.
