Kim is now through with her heartworm treatment and ready for her forever home! This sweet, cuddly, loveable girl is also one intelligent pooch - Kim watches TV! Kim sat in front of the TV recently and watched every move of the entire hour-long Purina National Champions show! How proud will you be to be a basset slave to a dog that can enjoy watching your favorite TV shows with you?! Just think of the bragging rights you can have!

Kim is an open red and white, golden eyes, soft brown nose, slight sprinkling of red freckles across her nose, silky red ears, heavy wrinkles above her eyes......a very elegant lady indeed!

Kim loves to be petted and held; she also enjoys sleeping on the bed with her foster mom. Kim plays well with her basset 'foster sisters'. Every evening there's a Basset 500 through the house with a friendly rumble in the middle of the living room floor. Kim loves squeaky toys and will pick them up in her mouth, toss them over her head, and start the process all over again.

Kim enjoys chews but does take a bit longer to finish them as she has no front teeth; she has no problem eating dry dog food or eating dry treats so this does not seem to be a hindrance for her in any way. Between the lack of front teeth and the fact that it was evident she'd had numerous litters of pups, we're pretty sure that Kim was kept in a crate most of her prior life and used as a puppy mill mom.

Kim deserves a home that wants a cuddlebug basset hound. She loves attention from anyone, any age. She is so gentle that she would do very well in a home with kids who are old enough to know not to pull her tail, etc. Kim would love to be in a home with a stay-at-home mom, but that isn't a requirement. She does enjoy her canine companions, but would also do well as the only dog if she gets alot of attention.

Won't you find it in your heart to give this precious girl her forever home? Please fill out an online adoption application; Kim is waiting to hear from you!
