Madison and her buddy Conner were left in the back yard in the August heat when their family moved away.  After several days, the neighbors realized they were there and got them to a shelter.  Both dogs are 12 years old and a little on the thin side after being left for days in the back yard.  Madison had burns on her belly and paws from the hot concrete.  She has some dental issues and has had to have 4 teeth removed.  The rest of her back teeth are at risk and she will be seeing a doggy dentist.  She has recently had several cysts removed.

Madison is a delight.  She does suffer from a little separation anxiety – but wouldn’t you, if your family moved away and left you behind?  She loves being with people and is affectionate.  Madison likes to be with her family, whether is it moving room to room, sharing the couch for a nap, taking a walk or riding in the car.  She is a gentle soul and will take snacks gingerly from your fingers.    Madison would love to have a family who likes having a dog by their side.
